Notes:

Ever wonder if you're doing what God meant for you to do?  Pastor Rod West starts a new series entitled "Gifted 2 Serve".  In this series Pastor West will help us identify our spiritual gifts and explore how we may practically serve God with what he has blessed us with.  This first message lays some ground work or some background for us to consider before we dive into the deep waters of Spiritual Gifts.

MGBC is home to AMPFEST, a 3-day event put on annually in the middle of October by our youth group, Amplified! Entry is free with a suggested donation of $10 to help with costs. Several well-known Christian musicians are scheduled to perform along with talented local entertainment.

For information on line-up and sponsering, please visit Ampfest online or Ampfest on Facebook.

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4:9,10,12

This is the philosophy that Ampfest would like to embrace and make an ongoing effort to begin building relationships between youth groups, teens and Christians in the area. By unifying them with the common belief of Jesus Christ, we are hoping that not only will it cause them to seek out each other for help, but also bring a level of accountability to each other that is currently nonexistent. This will help them grow stronger in a relationship with Christ and also be a better example of who He wants us to be.

Most of us agree that we see a great need to unify Christians in the community. With this comes an even greater demand to teach and disciple the younger generations to not only know who God is, but to have a better understanding of His mercy and love.

Two years ago,  a group of youth leaders in the community noticed the lack of accountability and unification between Christian teens in schools and within youth groups. After months of prayer and seeking Godʼs will, God laid out Ampfest; a Christian music festival to bring together those who seek his guidance and those who want to have a relationship with Him. Last year that dream became a reality and over 2000 people attended the first gathering and felt the Lordʼs presence over the whole event. Through more prayer and seeking His guidance, a vision to reach more people and a wider audience has been expected for this year.

Thank you for your support and believing in a cause that will not only change lives of the youth and adults involved, but also to generations of those to follow. God Bless!
